Dear NVTC Members,

As the year comes to a close, we reflect on NVTC’s incredible work. In 2022 we engaged 5,000+ members, increased membership by 50%, hosted six Signature Events, and put our Five-Year Strategic Plan into action!

We delivered value to 450+ members in new and meaningful ways thanks to the support of NVTC’s 120 Board members, 22 Business/Academic Partners, and dozens of sponsors. We are committed to helping our members accelerate their businesses and find the skilled talent they need.

Thank you all for your time, engagement, support, and passion. You are instrumental in helping NVTC fuel its mission and making our region’s tech hub vibrant and collaborative! I’ve enjoyed meeting with many of you personally throughout the year. Please continue to share feedback and insights.

2. ICYMI - Tech 100 was a blast!

A sell-out crowd of over 450 attended Tech 100 on December 6. Members networked with one another and celebrated the honorees—100 cutting-edge companies, executives, and NextGen leaders driving innovation, implementing new solutions, and contributing to our region’s economic growth.

3. NVTC revamps the Executive Circle

The big picture: NVTC’s Executive Circle provides tech leaders at member companies an avenue for enhanced engagement and networking year round.🤝

• Space is limited to 25 highly-engaged emerging leaders at NVTC member companies.

• Influence and guide NVTC programs and offerings to benefit our tech community.

Nominate a colleague (or yourself) to Executive Circle by the January 6 deadline.

4. Are you on the map?📍

The 2023 Techtopia map is here! Tech 100 attendees raved over the redesigned look and feel. Make sure to grab your copy at your next in-person event (while supplies last).

Why it matters:

• Techtopia 2023 demonstrates our region’s changing landscape, as more tech companies come to Northern Virginia.

• This year’s map features nearly 100 member companies.

Registration for CES® 2023 – taking place in Las Vegas, Jan. 5-8 – is open. 5. NVTC around town

Where we’ve been:

• Congrats to NVTC Board Chair Greg Baroni, Founder and CEO of Attain Partners! He received the Lifetime Achievement Award at WashingtonExec's annual Pinnacle Awards. Baroni and his wife, Camille, recently made an investment in the Center for Government Contracting in Mason’s School of Business. This center conducts research on the broad array of issues facing the $500+ billion gov-con industry.

• During National Apprenticeship Week in November, NVTC announced a commitment to grow the number of tech apprentices in our region at BuildWithin’s Future of Work Summit. Jennifer Taylor and NVTC Digital Marketing Apprentice Aaron Barnett highlighted the benefits of apprenticeship for the growing number of new collar jobs.
