NVTC Welcomes Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax, Receives V3 Certification at April 13 Titans Event
During an NVTC Titans breakfast on April 13 at The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner, NVTC was awarded its V3 certification from the Virginia Department of Veterans and Defense Affairs. Virginia Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax represented the Commonwealth for the presentation.
In his remarks, Lt. Gov. Fairfax highlighted the Commonwealth's efforts to support Veterans and their spouses in their military transitions and to find meaningful careers. Lt. Gov. Fairfax shared how over 31,000 Veterans have been hired by Virginia companies through Virginia Values Veterans (V3), a free training and certification program for employers to help implement best practices in recruiting, hiring and retaining Veterans and military spouses. Over 12,000 of those Veteran hires were from NVTC members companies.
Following Fairfax's remarks, Virginia Deputy Secretary of Veterans and Defense Affairs Jaime Areizaga-Soto recognized NVTC with V3 certification. NVTC joins the 80 NVTC members who are currently V3-certified.
