Mona Olsen Salisbury
Assistant Director
Mason Small Business Development Center

Mona serves as Assistant Director of the Mason Small Business Development Center in the Mason Enterprise Center at the School of Public Policy at George Mason University. As an entrepreneur, Mona launched Gytality LLC which specializes in service process design and strategic systems planning for private equity clubs, independent hospitality entities, and small businesses. Previously, Mona worked as a Sales Analyst for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in the Washington Worldwide Sales Office.

Mona is pursuing a PhD at the Graduate School of Education at George Mason University with a focus on Instructional Technology. Mona holds a Masters in Management of Information Technology from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce and a Bachelor of Science with Distinction from The School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.

Jeff Fissel
VP Business Development & Co-founder
KZO Innovations

Jeff is VP of Business Development and plays a key role in select strategic accounts and corporate development activities. He is an expert with interactive streaming media technologies and was a member of the development team for the KZO technology. Prior to KZO Innovations Jeff founded KZO Webcasting and over the past five years produced hundreds of global webcasts ranging from events in the White House for President Bush to film festivals in Hollywood. Jeff has a B.S. in Information Technology with a concentration in Information Security and Network Administration from George Mason University.

Kiran Hebbar
Valhalla Partners

Kiran Hebbar is a Partner at Valhalla Partners. He has over ten years of technology, software development and marketing experience in companies spanning software, Internet, and technology-enabled services domains.

Prior to joining Valhalla Partners, Kiran was the Director of Product Management at RichFX, a venture-backed rich media applications company targeting online retailers. He orchestrated the conceptualization, development and market launch of RichFX's SaaS platform and marketed products to over 200 online retail customers.

Before RichFX, Kiran was a Product Manager at Siebel Systems where he managed CRM products for high-tech, semiconductor and industrial manufacturing verticals. He began his career as a software engineer at Bentley Systems, where he led the development team for mechanical CAD software products and managed offshore development partners. Kiran also worked at Mellon Ventures in New York, NY.

Kiran has an MBA from the Wharton School, where he was Chairman of the Wharton India Economic Forum. He earned a Bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and an M.S. from the University of Maryland, both in Mechanical Engineering. Kiran is a graduate of the Kauffman Fellows Program.

At Valhalla, Kiran works closely with Avail Media, Geomagic, KZO Innovations, and Verical, Inc.

Kiran lives in Vienna, Virginia with his wife and two children.

Michael V. Velotta
Founder and CTO
Lore Internet Systems

Mr. Velotta has more than 15 years experience in network data center and computer server operations. In 1988, Mr. Velotta helped build and manage the Network Operations Center at the Department of Justice in Washington, DC. Following his 2-year tenure with the government, which also included various Defense Department projects, Mr. Velotta took a position as the lead project manager for client-server systems at Mobil Oil Corporation. At Mobil Oil, Mr. Velotta led several mainframe projects into the highly technical arena of Unix and Microsoft Windows client-server applications.

In 1995, Mr. Velotta began working for Microsoft Corporation on the new web project initiatives. He launched many new pilot web projects, including the popular Student Co-Op program. This web project, a grass-roots program, allowed computer engineers and science students to request evaluation software and technical support from the Microsoft Development center in Redmond, WA. Today, much of the work that Mr. Velotta was involved in is part of the Microsoft Developer Network, which is used globally by application development teams.

In late 1996, Mr. Velotta founded Lore Internet Systems. Initially, the company provided high-speed Internet services, such as DS-1's and web and electronic mail hosting to many pioneer dot-com companies. Mr. Velotta was instrumental in building the first Lore Internet Systems network operation center in Washington, DC. Today, Lore Internet Systems hosts thousands of businesses with its highly reliable, fully redundant meshed network and certified network and support engineers. In addition, Mr. Velotta is an active member of the Internet community, including the ARIN and Internet Registrars.

Mr. Velotta is a Cisco Certified Network Associate and a VMware Professional.
