An Inside Look Into Cognitive Intelligence and Its Future Impact on the Financial Services Industry

Machine learning, artificial intelligence and cognitive intelligence are all buzz words today, but do we really understand how these capabilities will transform our society and life as we know it? Join the NVTC Big Data & Analytics Committee in exploring real-life use cases for machine learning and the impact cognitive intelligence will have on the financial services industry.

More than ever in history, financial institutions are under intense scrutiny in today's highly-regulated market. Firms need to embrace new innovative and disruptive technologies to help them more effectively manage risk and compliance. In light of IBM's recent acquisition of Promontory Financial Group, Dr. Chitra Dorai, IBM Fellow, Master Inventor and CTO for Cognitive Solutions and Services, and Rajiv Chodhari, IBM vice president in Financial Markets and Wealth Management, will discuss the acquisition and share predications around how IBM will leverage Promontory's financial expertise and cognitive intelligence through IBM Watson to impact the financial services market and assist regulators in managing risk more effectively.
