Speaker:


Dr. Misty Blowers, Vice President for Cybersecurity Research, ICF

Dr. Misty Blowers led the cyber offensive research team at the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, Information Directorate in Rome, NY. While there, she managed over $95 million in government contracts focused on advancing the state of the art in advanced defensive and offensive cybersecurity technology. Dr. Blowers combines experience as a chemical process engineer with extensive research experience in the fields of machine learning, big data analytics, cybersecurity and blockchain technologies. With over 250 publications, she drove business creation in a variety of market environments; was the founder and chief operating officer of Datalytica, LLC; and has mentored multiple start-up companies in the automotive, manufacturing and law enforcement sector.

Her recent book, Evolutions of Cyber Technologies and Operations to 2035, continues to inspire senior level strategic planning exercises and coalition shaping initiatives across the U.S. Department of Defense.

Todd P. Haymore was appointed Secretary of Commerce and Trade by Governor Terry McAuliffe in September 2016 after previously serving as Governor McAuliffe's Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry. The Secretary of Commerce and Trade oversees the economic, community, and workforce development of the Commonwealth, and each of the thirteen Commerce and Trade agencies actively contributes to Virginia's economic health and high quality of life.
